We are delighted to bring Canadian pianist Ryan Wang to Jordans Music Club. Ryan captivated audiences worldwide when he won BBC Young Musician in 2024. He has studied in the UK since the age of 13 on a music scholarship at Eton College and continues his studies at the Harvard-New England Conservatory.

Schubert’s Opus 90 Impromptus are a staple of the piano repertoire, loved for their lyrical beauty and expressive depth. Bartok’s three Études follow. These are technically daring - some would say demonic - and are influenced by Chopin and Debussy, punctuated with the accents of Hungarian folk music. Ryan’s recital closes with Mussorgsky’s ten movement suite, depicting a tour of an exhibition of works by architect and painter Viktor Hartmann. The composition has become a showpiece for virtuoso pianists.
